“Fifteen men on the dead man’s chest – Yo-ho-ho, and a bottle of rum!”

Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?

I am so happy that today we continued with the book theme! Obviously, I don’t want to use the Lord of the Rings again, as I mentioned it already yesterday.

Instead, let’s go in a different direction and choose Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. On the first time, I was sitting on my grandmother’s lap, and she was reading the book for me. Since then, I read it every summer until I was about 20. Robinson Crusoe didn’t have the same feeling to it.

A quirky fact about the Treasure Island book my grandmother read to me from, and I read myself later on. It originally belonged to my father, who got it back in the 1950s. We still have the book at the summer cottage.
