This is my family from my mother’s side. This is also significant as my great-grandfather was born 140 years ago.

Also, my grandmother, who is on the lower right-hand corner of this photo, was an Evacuee from the Karelian peninsula to “mainland” Finland during the Second World War. Those areas were stolen by the Soviet Union as “compensation.”
