Travelling Thoughts

Inheritance can be tangible or intangible. For me, as a Finnish man, the summer evenings by lakes, which reflect the blueness of the sky above, with the sounds of nature all around… that is the inheritance from my background that I cherish until the last day.

This is my family from my mother’s side. This is also significant as my great-grandfather was born 140 years ago. Also, my grandmother, who is on the lower right-hand corner of this photo, was an Evacuee from the Karelian peninsula to “mainland” Finland during the Second World War. Those areas…
